MUNICH, Germany, April 18, 2019 – Award-winning DJ app maker Algoriddim updates djay for iOS to version 3.1, bringing a host of new features and improvements including extensive audio and visual content. The free download from the App Store offers everything you need to start DJing. With this update, Algoriddim brings new power features for PRO users, further unifying the desktop and mobile experience.
In addition to advanced features such as Beat Jump, Sample Editing, and a new fullscreen library, the update includes the first of many content updates for PRO subscribers, including new looper packs, sample packs from various genres, as well as high quality visuals for mixing video. There are also major improvements to aAccessibility integration, with VoiceOver getting support with many of the app features including the Looper for visually impaired users.
While djay for iOS launched as a free app with everything needed to get mixing, version 3.1 offers more control, improved user experience, and better VoiceOver aAccessibility.
The iPad interface now features a full screen library browser view for Classic mode and 4 Deck mode. Like the desktop apps, DJs can now see more of their music and playlists at once, including the ability to mix tracks while browsing the library.
A new addition to the djay for iOS Cue section is a handy beat jumping tool. DJs can set the jump size, and quickly skip backwards and forwards through the track, in perfect sync with the beat.
Building on djay’s industry-leading aAccessibility integration for DJs, djay for iOS 3.1 further improves VoiceOver accessibility with the addition of support for the Looper, reading song titles while using hardware controls, and much more.
With the djay for iOS sampler editor, DJs can swap out, add, or remove samples from the grid. Packs can be saved for quick access in the future. The new sampler editor can even add a user’s own samples via the Files app or record new samples within the app for a completely custom experience.
With three new Looper packs, three Sample packs, and nine new Visuals, Pro user will get even more content as part of their monthly subscription.

The two deck view from iPad is now available on the iPhone, for those wanting a more efficient and powerful DJ interface. A dedicated library browser section, as well as full width waveforms, means it’s much easier to plan and play music at the same time.
Users can now create a Siri shortcut to launch djay for iOS and get the mixing with Automix. Custom phrases can even trigger Automix with specific playlists
Set cue points to tell Automix where to mix in and out of tracks, for even more control over AI mixes. The custom blending triggers let DJs mix as much or as little of the track as they need.
Algoriddim’s djay is available as a free download on the App Store. Users can upgrade to djay Pro, including access to advanced professional features and an extensive library of sounds and visuals, as a subscription via in-app-purchase for just $4.99 per month. A 7-day free trial of the Pro subscription is available for all users, including full access to all content and features of djay Pro.
